Get involved with the Barn Theatre
Everyone at the Barn is a volunteer, so there are opportunities to get involved with every aspect of the theatre’s life.
Auditions
Auditions are normally held roughly three months before a production’s opening night. Audition notices appear on the website and in Barn News. Contact the Director or Production Secretary to arrange an audition.
Backstage
Major backstage roles include lighting, sound, costumes & props, set design & construction and stage management. Directors generally select their creative team at around the same time as auditions are held, so look our for audition notices.
Bar, Coffee bar and Box Office
Our bar and coffee bar are open on performance nights to the general public and the bar is available on other nights to Barn members.
Front of house
Our front of house managers and stewards guide the audience to their seats and help ensure their safety.

The easiest way to ensure you don't miss out is to become a member of the theatre. Our monthly newsletter, Barn News, will help you keep in touch.
Youth groups
We have two youth groups, catering for ages 11 to 21, that meet weekly on Monday evenings.
