Archives - Rookery Nook
by Ben TraversDirected by Hugh CroydonSaturday 20th – Saturday 27th March 1976 in the AuditoriumOne of the famous Aldwych farces. They began in 1925 when Tom Walls and Ralph Lynn transferred Tons of Money from the Shaftesbury to the Aldwych Theatre. The plays, all by Ben Travers, were highly successful and immensely popular. They packed the Aldwych continuously until 1933. Rookery Nook was produced in 1926 with, as well as Walls and Lynn, the delectable Winifred Shotter and, of course, Robertson Hare, with — and without — trousers. Festivals
