Another black comedy from the author of The Cripple of Inishmaan.

The Lieutenant of Inishmore is set on a rural island off the West Coast of Ireland. The story concerns ‘Mad’ Padraic, a terrorist who returns home from his activities in Northern Ireland, when he is informed that his beloved cat is ‘poorly’. The cat, however, is not ‘poorly’, not ‘in a coma’, but very definitely dead, a victim of catricide. Inevitably, the stage is set for a bloody, but hilarious, revenge.

Free-of-charge pre- and post-show talks now feature at the Barn on the following nights:

• Monday 25^th at 7.30pm in the bar — Dr Cindy Lawford interviews the director, Luke Lilly.
• Tuesday 26^th at 7.30pm in the bar — This session provides a chance to discuss the critical and contextual background to the play.
• Wednesday 27^th after the show — The audience’s opportunity to ask the cast and creative team about the play.
