General Covid Guidance
For users of the Barn Theatre
These guidelines have been collated for the Barn Theatre in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic. Advice in this document is effective from 10th December 2021.
Other documents that should be used in conjunction with these guidelines:
- Barn Theatre Covid-19 risk assessment.
- Latest government guidelines published by the DCMS
Face coverings | Whilst wearing a face covering is no longer required by law within our building, we request that face coverings should be worn whenever in the building mixing with other households to protect others.
Lateral flow testing | We would encourage anyone meeting others at the Barn Theatre to carry out a lateral flow test prior to attending and follow Government advice if the test is positive.
Feeling unwell? | Then please do not attend our theatre. If you are showing signs of Covid, get a test and follow the current Government guidelines.
Ventilation | When meeting or rehearsing in the Barn Theatre, please try to keep the area you are in ventilated. Prop open doors. Remember to close when you leave and be mindful of security.
Test & Trace | You are no longer required to log your details for the purposes of test & trace. But our QR codes will remain available for you to do so and we would strongly encourage you to.
Keep your distance | Remember indoor crowded settings are one of the most likely places to spread the virus. You may feel relaxed enough to hug and be with strangers, not all people in the Barn will. Be mindful of others and try to keep your distance where possible
Socially distanced performances | The Barn will continue to offer at least 1 socially distanced performance where ticket sales will not exceed 50% capacity at every production.
Extra cleaning | The barn will continue to have extra touch point cleans throughout between paid external hires and the Barn will continue to provide cleaning equipment for all users to clean areas before and after use.
Hands | Don’t forget to wash your hands regularly and use the hand sanitiser located throughout the building frequently.
