A morning read through a play from scratch

This is a regular monthly opportunity for any member to come along and have an unrehearsed read through a play.

This month’s play

Don’t Dress for Dinner by Marc Camoletti

Written by the author of Boeing Boeing it is a comedy for three men and three women was a smash hit in Paris under the original title Pyjamas Pour Six where it ran for over two years. Robert Hawdon’s adaptation was premiered in 1991 and played to critical acclaim at London’s Apollo’s Theatre.

“…a nifty comedy farce about double adultery and gourmet cooking… ” (Sunday Times)

“Marc Camoletti’s breathtaking farce is a near faultless piece of theatrical invention. Within seconds we are drawn into a delicious web of marital treachery which accelerates with classic symmetry to an all-star denouement.” (The Guardian)

The play will be hosted by Veronique Gasseau-Dryer.
