Evelyn and Faith, mother and daughter, spend some time together preparing for Faith to leave home. The scene shifts in time and place as Evelyn’s history is revealed and as the story unfolds, we’re shown the full background to the painful decisions that have been made, not just by Evelyn, but by all those close to her. The dynamic of the mother and daughter relationship is beautifully observed.
