FROM THE BARN THEATRE ARCHIVE

Much Ado About Nothing

by William Shakespeare
Directed by David Harrold
1st – 8th May 1993

This sprightly comedy, most famous for the witty banter of Beatrice and Benedick, takes an ironic look at romantic love.

Don Pedro and his army return home from the wars and become hilariously involved in the plottings, deceptions and misunderstandings that develop from the idle life at Court. It take a down-to-earth Friar and a group of blundering nightwatchmen (who look like the prototypes for Dad’s Army) to rescue the main characters from a potentially tragic outcome.
