The Trial

Adapted from Franz Kafka | by Steven Berkoff
Directed by Jan Palmer Sayer
30th January – 7th February 1998

“Someone must have been telling lies about Joseph K., for without having done anything wrong he was arrested one fine morning…”

Kafka’s classic story is given a contemporary treatment in Berkoff’s adaptation of this fascinating tale. Joseph K.’s quest for the truth leads him into a labyrinth of intrigue as he first finds that he has been arrested and then found guilty — but guilty of what?
