FROM THE BARN THEATRE ARCHIVE

Hedda Gabler

by Henrik Ibsen
Directed by Ray Aspey
14th – 21st November 1970

The study of a frustrated woman whose misfortune it was to bring destruction upon herself and those around her. Written about 1890, the play is still modern in essence. Though tragic, it is not gloomy. Written in an economy of language and action it is one of the world’s great plays.
