FROM THE BARN THEATRE ARCHIVE

The Dutch Courtesan

By John Marston
Directed by Michael McKever
Produced by Carole Muscroft
Musical Director Tony Mash
Choreography Patricia Moore
2nd – 9th December 1972

A colourful, witty, lively and bawdy Renaissance comedy in the form of two interlacing plots. Showing that the man who denies the existence of natural impulses does not really exist, and the passionate man who thinks he is “as white as snow” is ridiculous, if not potentially dangerous. Marston invites us all to laughingly survey the nature of man.
