Barn Theatre Production Graphic

Widowers’ Houses

By Bernard Shaw
Directed by Roy Brewer
27th January – 3rd February 1973

Shaw completed this, his first play, in 1892, as a realistic, didactic play, blending a Shavian love story with a sharp and entertaining picture of Victorian slum landlordism. After some years of neglect recent revivals have delighted modern audiences with its combination of period interest and strong dramatic construction.

Part of the Barn’s 1972-1973 Season.
