FROM THE BARN THEATRE ARCHIVE

After the Lions

by Ronald Harwood
Directed by Margaret Lickman
8th – 15th April 1989
Thanks to Morris Angel Ltd for additional costumes.

A sharply observed biographical piece, we see Sarah Bernhardt in her last years, after her tragical fall during a performance of Tosca. Alternating between wry comedy and pathos, it is a beautifully written play by the same author as The Dresser and, incidentally, offered to us by the same producer.
