FROM THE BARN THEATRE ARCHIVE

Two Plays: The Fall of the House of Usher and Agamemnon

by Steven Berkoff
'Usher' Directed by Jan Palmer Sayer
Agamemnon Directed Steve Thompson
Musical Director Pat Bailey
21st – 29th September 1991

The Barn season opens with a rare opportunity to see two short Berkoff plays on the same night.

In The Fall of the House of Usher, based upon the Edgar Allan Poe story of the same name, we see the last remaining members of the line of Usher work inexorably to their final destruction.

Agamemnon, freely adapted from the Aeschylus version of the Trojan Wars, juxtaposes love poetry with the frantic atmosphere of battle.

Certainly an evening of thrilling contrasts!
