FROM THE BARN THEATRE ARCHIVE

Blue Remembered Hills

by Dennis Potter
Directed by Zoë Watkins
28th January – 5th February 2000

Originally produced as a screenplay, this is a delightful mix of comedy and tragedy; Potter gives us the chance to re-live a childhood full of carefree innocence.

The play depicts the adventures of seven children (played by adults) on a glorious summer afternoon during World War II. An afternoon which starts happily enough yet ends in tragedy.
