One of Sir Alan’s best, this play takes us into the lives of three couples on successive Christmases, and the crises which befall when each couple is visited by the other two.
Running through this hilarious comedy, as a more serious comment, is the rise of the ‘lower class’ couple, in parallel with the decline of the others.
