FROM THE BARN THEATRE ARCHIVE

Arcadia

by Tom Stoppard
Directed by Sylvia Pepper
23rd February – 3rd March 2001

Byron, Chaos Theory, Mathematics and Landscape Gardening. Connect all these into a sophisticated comedy and you have Stoppard at his brilliant best.

The action flicks between 1809 and the present, exploring with startling theatricality its interlocking themes, including the ever-disruptive influence of SEX – the attraction that Newton left out.
