Set in the ancient Greece of mythology (but with very modern dialogue) the play tells the story of one of the twelve labours imposed on Heracles. He must acquire the Sacred Girdle of the Amazons, the female race with a reputation for being bloodthirsty fighters who have never lost a battle. But when he and his forgetful friend Theseus land on the Amazons’ island they find an altogether different picture.
A truly delightful comedy.
