A Man for All Seasons

By Robert Bolt
Directed by Louis Davis
Assistant Director Mariam Rodway
15th – 23rd July 2005

The story of Thomas More, who stood up to King Henry VIII when the king rejected the Roman Catholic Church to obtain a divorce and remarriage.

Torn apart by his love and loyalty to the King and his love and loyalty to the Church, his decision to endorse the divine right of the Pope over that of his King leads to his unwilling martyrdom and tragic downfall.

This modern classic was first produced in 1960 in London and as an award-winning film in 1966.
