A frantic farce of fun and failure!

Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense is a play written by David and Robert Goodale, based on the 1938 novel The Code of the Woosters by P G Wodehouse. It had its world premiere at the Richmond Theatre in October 2013, and the production won the 2014 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.

In 1920s London, Bertie Wooster decides it’s time for the world to be privy to his extraordinary theatrical talent. He decides to regale the audience with The Tale of Totleigh Towers, a riveting riot of a story involving love, intrigue, secrets and, of course, the infamous cow creamer. There’s just one small snag to his brilliant plan: Bertie finds himself incapable of doing anything unless his trusty valet Jeeves is there to hold his hand. Between them, and the enlisted help of Seppings, the formidable Aunt Dahlia’s butler, they trudge their way through this tale – much to Bertie’s constant amazement. Despite the tight spots Bertie manages to get himself into, Jeeves always manages to get him out again.

This really is a riot of fun, a quick-paced, fast-changing play – and one that shouldn’t be missed.
