FROM THE BARN THEATRE ARCHIVE

The Flint Street Nativity

By Tim Firth
Directed by Belinda Gee
Assistant Director Hannah Humbles
15th – 23rd November 2019

Duration: Approximately 2 hours – including a 20-minute interval.

When you have a baby, you moo a lot!

With grateful thanks to Commonswood Primary & Nursery School Year 2 students for providing the nativity paintings used on set.

A class of seven-year-olds are preparing their nativity play – with the familiar squabbles over parts, diva tantrums, and inappropriate on-stage behaviour. The kids are played by adults who later play the kids’ parents… Warm, witty, funny, with a smattering of songs sung to carol tunes – an ideally timed slot for a perfect pre-Christmas treat.
