At the Barn we are committed to promoting equality and challenging discrimination in all its forms. We strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for all members of the cast and creative team, regardless of their race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity and will work to prevent any form of discrimination or harassment within our organisation.
Short and Sweet
The plays have no specific diversity message within their narrative although one contains themes which some may find uncomfortable. The plays can, and have been cast with complete neutrality on race/ethnicity. Parts of their stories lend themselves to gender and age specificity in certain roles but this is open to artistic judgement which has permitted maximum flexibility in achieving the most diverse cast possible.
