Jane and Bernard Acton, a suburban couple, have the usual worry over housekeeping, house repair and school bills. Jane decides to take a part-time job. This solves the financial problem but does not turn out quite as simple as expected.
This play is high comedy, showing the modern desire for material comfort, perhaps to the detriment of other values.
