A modern equivalent of the old Greek Legend of Orpheus who descends to earth and charms the beasts with his lyre. Set in a small town in the Southern States the plot is tender, funny, violent, tragic and fantastic by turns.
One of Tennessee Williams’ lesser-known plays and certainly one of his most poetic.
