Design For Living

Twelve years after “dreaming up their future design for living” with Lynne Fontanne and Alfred Lunt, Noel Coward wrote Design for Living in eight days while sailing from Panama to Los Angeles in a small Norwegian cargo-boat.

They opened at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, New York on 22 January 1933 and “Lynne, Alfred, Noel and the play became the talk of the town…”
