The musical love story of Irma, a good hearted prostitute from Paris, and Nestor the student, who ‘killed’ for his love and was sent to Devil’s Island. A triumphant success for Elizabeth Seal and Keith Michell at the Lyric in 1958 and for Shirley Maclaine and Jack Lemmon in the Billy Wilder film version.
