This taster course is designed for you to explore what is involved in backstage theatre. Each week, an experienced person will lead a workshop focussing on their discipline: stage management, the role of the production secretary, lighting, sound, props, and wardrobe. Many people who started out learning their technical skills at the Barn have gone on to achieve professional theatre careers! This is a great way to get a taste of what else, besides acting and directing, goes on at the Barn, and provides an ideal opportunity to get your foot in the door.

The course is open to members and non-members, at a cost of £50.
