Open Day

8th October 2011 at 11:00:00

Visit us for a fun afternoon and have a nosy round our wonderful theatre!

The Barn is holding an Open Day on Saturday 8th October from 11am to 3pm.

Who’s it for? Everyone!

Existing members can catch up with other members after the summer break; regular Barn audience members can have a peek backstage and explore the rabbits warren of corridors and rooms housed within this 19th century building; and people who read about the Barn in local newspapers, online or hear us on the radio can come along to see what all the fuss is about. Bring your family and friends!

There will be a ploughman’s lunch, cakes, the bar will – of course – be open, there will be competitions, stuff for kids, tours of the Barn for newcomers, live music and loads more! There will be a display of our tiny models of our full-scale stage sets, and Festival Costumes will be showing off their extensive range of costumes and props, all of which are available for hire!

Did you know? The Barn Theatre interior was used in the 2007 film Hot Fuzz, and a handful of our members contributed their dancing and singing skills to the appallingly wonderful production of Romeo and Juliet that featured in the film. Thankfully, our productions are much better than what the film implied!
