FROM THE BARN THEATRE ARCHIVE

Bouncers & Shakers

By John Godber
Directed by John Keogh, Hannah Sayer
25th April – 3rd May 2014

A hilarious double-bill which crackles with wit, imagination and sharp social commentary

Thanks to COPs for the bar stools, the Barn set-builders for the bar, John for the barrels, Jim Kinloch for the mime training for Shakers, and Tammy Wall for make-up and hair advice

Bouncers & ShakersTwo fast-paced and brilliantly observed four-handers which look into some of the darker corners of modern nightlife and lifestyles. Bouncers sees a bunch of lads on a night on the town from the point of view of four doormen and other clubbers. In Shakers four cocktail waitresses give us an insight into their clientele and the seedy reality behind the plastic palm-trees.
