On his wedding night trip to Las Vegas, Jack Singer (Cage) loses an expensive round of poker to professional high stakes gambler Tommy Korman (Caan). Unable to cover his loss, Jack agrees to turn his fiancé, Betsy (Jessica Parker), over to Tommy for the weekend. Jack realises too late that the game is all a set-up to get Tommy close to Betsy, who’s a dead ringer for Tommy’s late wife. It’s then a farce with, believe it or not, a happy ending.
