A glimpse into the real and imagined world of the Brontë sisters

Brontë explores how three Victorian sisters, isolated on the Yorkshire moors, came to write some of the most powerful and passionate fiction of all time.

We see the real and imagined worlds of the three Brontë sisters as the play moves seamlessly from the kitchen table to the wild moors. The fictional characters they have created come to haunt the sisters as they cope with their father’s poor health, and their brother’s painful descent into an alcohol-infused insanity. Time, reality and imagination merge in an unconventional structure that encourages a brave, creative approach to production.
