Local musician, Matt Ward, invites audiences to Jazz at the Barn for another song spectacular on Friday 5th April. This month we welcome the inimitable vocalist, Linda Muriel, who is joined by local Hertfordshire quartet, Watling Street.
Linda Muriel was previously lead vocalist with bands Incognito and The Brand New Heavies. Among many music projects, Linda has recorded with Courtney Pine and sung backing vocals with B B King. She continues to sing and write songs with many collaborators in a wide variety of genres.
Watling Street are a jazz quartet based in Hertfordshire. They play an eclectic mix of jazz standards as well as adding in their own interpretations of pop and rock songs when performing. With Linda there, expect strong soul and blues vibes!
Music starts at 8pm with doors and bar open from 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 and can be purchased from the Barn Theatre website.
Performing at this event are:
Linda Muriel – vocals
Michael Hingstone – saxophone
Richard Hurford – keys
Martin Fox – bass
Chris Dixon – drums
