Jazz at the Barn: Jazzface

6th December 2024 at 8:00pm

For this season’s third gig of the year, local musician, Matt Ward, invites guests back to the Barn to hear Hertfordshire’s most famous jazz power trio, Jazzface!

Jazzface was set up by three like-minded musicians who met at an impromptu gig at Molly Malones in Hitchin, and are an exciting jazz trio who perform a melange of styles and re-interpretations of funk, soul, Latin, and jazz favourites in their typically unique Jazzface style.

The group frequently perform around the county, most recently at the Red Lion pub in Preston, the Angel’s Share in Hitchin, and Letchworth’s Glast-Wynd-Bury festival, as well as appearing at Hitchin’s well-known Jazz Jam at the Market Theatre. In 2014, Jazzface recorded ‘Live at the Albert’ in Hitchin, showcasing their various musical influences as a group from the likes of Duke Ellington to Michel Camilo, and Miles Davis to Dave Brubeck.

Music starts at 8pm, with doors and bar open from 7.30pm.

Performing at this event are:

  • Craig Stallwood – Keys
  • Pete Myatt – Bass
  • Steve Seal – Drums
